Never forget to tithe. It will only bring increase.
There are many ways to save in this economical down turn.
Please take note of other saving ideas and check them off as you go:


Home efficiency


  • Off-Peak energy Rate - saves on utilities - 5pm - midnight, everyday.

  • Super Off-Peak Rate - saves even more - Midnight - 6am everyday.

  • Close windows during day to keep heat out in summer and open during the winter to keep it warm.

  • Keep your air no lower than 78 degrees and run ceiling fans to keep air circulating when off.

  • Change all light bulbs to energy efficient bulbs.

  • Unplug all appliances when not in use. As long as they are plugged in it will still costs you.

  • You can add a full water bottle to toilette to reduce the amount of water being flushed and billed.

Entertainment




  • Go to a matinee


  • Buy kids meal


  • Share a meal


  • Cut coupons


  • Look at bargain days for dining out


  • Order of dollar menu


  • Order water with your meal instead of soft drink

Groceries




  • Clip coupons


  • Watch circular ads for deals of the week


  • Buy in bulk


  • Check the Dollar Tree and 99 cent store for every day needs.


  • Register discount card at market to receive discounts as well as coupons in the mail for larger discounts off total bill.


  • Divide snacks into portion sizes to avoid eating entire bag or box of item.


  • Make a weekly menu and inventory to avoid unnecessary runs to the market.

  • Thrift Stores


  • Consignment shopping


  • Check for special days for filling entire bag for one price


  • Ask for discounts for scratches on furniture.


  • Add accessories to existing wardrobe instead of replacing


  • Exchange with friends and family


  • Garage sale or Ebay what is not being used or needed.
